Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to the information you send through this website. It is written to be read, not to protect us from you.

Who is responsible

Selman IT Solutions, Malmö, Sweden, is the data controller. Questions about this policy or about your data go to [email protected].

What we collect

When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, project type, budget range and message you choose to send. We also record the time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string so that abuse can be investigated.

Nothing else is collected. There is no account, no newsletter and no tracking profile.

Why we process it

To answer your enquiry and, if it leads to work, to prepare a quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you started, and — once a contract exists — the performance of that contract.

We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Accounting material is kept for the period Swedish bookkeeping law requires (seven years).

Who sees it

Our hosting provider and our email provider, both inside the EU, process the data on our behalf. We never sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss.

If analytics is enabled it is Plausible: it counts page views without cookies, without cross-site identifiers and without collecting personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantial changes are described here rather than slipped in.
